I was intrigued by this Revlon photoready airbrush mousse when I saw a friend’s picture on Facebook, she looks good with this. So, I asked my boyfriend to purchase and send me this foundation, I’d like to try it, too. Call me childish, though this brand was also available here in the Philippines, I have my boyfriend brought it for me from Australia. Haha 🙂 I have used it a lot of times, and I think it’s about time to share my thoughts on this review.

 

The packaging is unique but..

Knowing that it was in an air pump container made me think that it’s a good pick. But I was wrong. Whenever I’m dispensing the mousse from the container, I’m always having difficulties. Pressing and pressing but still haven’t got any coming out, sometimes it hurts my forefinger. I always struggle to control the amount of foundation when it started to come out. Getting more than what I need is a regular scenario here, geez..

How about the texture?

You’ll see lots of bubbles with this product after dispensing it onto your fingers, exactly like a hair mousse does. But in just a matter of seconds, those bubbles will disappear and turns into a watery mixture. I don’t like how it smells like, I can’t really describe how, all I know is that it has disgusting smell. I also noticed when I touched it, it feels like “so-greasy”.

I rarely use sponge when I’m applying this Revlon Photoready airbrush mousse foundation. I always want to use my my fingers in applying this all over my face. It could be messy but I like it this way.

 

Now, let’s talk about the finish look

After the blend-blend process, I always end up with the feeling like I can’t just leave it as it is. Due to my previous acne breakouts, it doesn’t do the trick to completely cover up scars and imperfections, so I still have to use a concealer beforehand. This mousse foundation provides a light to medium coverage, but impressive, it makes my skin look smoother, poreless, and glowy! This is expected but I really like to use it whenever I’m taking selfie shots. It may sound self-praising, but my skin looks flawless on pictures with this! Hihi 🙂

One more thing, this Revlon Photoready airbrush mousse was with glitters! It’s very glittery! I used to dust a small amount of pressed powder ( I use a brush ) to resolve the shimmering issues without eliminating that glowy look. Additionally, I just can’t take retouching for granted after 4 to 5 hours because my face is definitely looking oily and shiny despite that fact that it’s still looking smooth and poreless.

Pros:

• Smooth, poreless finish
• Flawless effect on photograph

Cons:

• Smells bad
• Greasy
• Glittery
• Not good for oily skin
• Doesn’t completely covers imperfections
• Hard to control the amount of what’s coming out from the nozzle

 

My take on this Revlon Photoready airbrush mousse

I think, this foundation isn’t a good match for oily skin, because this can make your face to shine like a dancing ball at the end of the day. Hahaha, I know I’m exaggerating things out, but true, it’ll really make your face look more oily and shiny. It’s probably best for someone who already have great skin and just wants a touch of coverage with a dewy/luminous finish.

Good luck to you if you’re going to purchase it. This Revlon photoready airbrush mousse foundation isn’t something that I would recommend and I won’t purchase this product after finishing this one. There’s still a better foundation around that will definitely meet my needs without the greasy and glittery effect.
