Though I love to dress up my kids in pumpkin or skeleton costume, I don’t have a budget to spend on Halloween costumes as we’re saving up for the Christmas season! So I thought of just repurposing the costumes we use for my daughter’s 1st birthday, it saves me time and money. She had a unicorn themed party this July, so I and my family together with some of our guests dressed up in unicorn costumes during the party.
Unicorns are magical and cute, can you blame me if I dressed up my family in a matching unicorn onesies again for a cute and easy Halloween look? I always love the idea of wearing a matching outfit with my family, so this Halloween, we are unicorns!
Halloween has always been a very big thing in certain countries, but nowadays with YouTube and Instagram, it has definitely blown up. People are creating the most intricate, fantastic make-up looks and costumes and you’re left wondering how you could ever replicate what you just saw: don’t worry, you’re not alone!
And that’s why I’ve decided to help you by sharing some tips and how tos that will, hopefully, make your Halloween as flawless and scary as those from the beauty gurus on the internet. I listed a few tips that you can pull off easily for a fun Halloween look even on the last minute.
One of the easiest Halloween looks is a ghost. You just need to paint your face white, frizz your hair a little, throw on a long black dress (or a long white dress instead) and you’re done! You don’t need a fancy dress for this Halloween look, so pull any of your black or white dress from your closet to make your ghost look more fun.
You can use your make-up to create this kind of look, or you can always buy face paint. Cover your whole face with white paint (or white foundation), including lips! If you feel like trying a little harder, you can add black eyeliner/eyeshadow over your eyes, brows and contour your face too. This will add more dimension to your face and you’ll look scarier.
For your hair, add some hairspray to frizz it better – if you have black hair, be careful: you’re ready to frighten even the bravest!
These are my easy and cutest options. For both, you have many different variants online, so you can definitely turn them into your own creative look.
If becoming a deer sounds exciting to you, you just need to grab some gold/brown/bronze eyeshadows – even if you have a bronzer, it will do! Then, a black eyeliner will help you create any lines along your eyes and nose. A white eyeliner to add dots on your forehead, and you’re finished.
If you opt for the cat look, I think it’s even easier! You’ll just need a black eyeliner to create the lines around your face and your whiskers and you’re basically done! Throw on some cat ears which you can find pretty much anywhere, and you’ll be a great-looking cat!
You could always get a wig and dress as Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones or Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad or even Audrey Hepburn. These are all icons in their own way and very popular Halloween options.
You can also get some fun onesies to wear and be able to use it all year round, and not just for Halloween. Or you could re-use a onesie that you already have that’s been sitting in your wardrobe. In my case, I and my family are dressing up as unicorns. Cause hey, unicorns are not just famous, they are magical! I’m obsessed with unicorns, don’t judge me!
Remember that, in the end, the most important is to be creative and to have fun!
Are you dressing up for Halloween? What Halloween look are you planning to be for the festivity?

*This post is sponsored by iHerb, but the words and opinions expressed here are my own.
As you know, I have a sensitive skin that makes me more prone to breakouts, dry skin, and eczema. Apparently, my two little kids also have a sensitive skin and eczema. It can be tough for us during the winter and the colder months. Well, thanks to iHerb’s large selections of products, I discovered some really good products which I can’t find some of them elsewhere (our local store, or my country; for example).
Today, I’ll be sharing bath and beauty products I got from iHerb that I’ve been using for myself and for my babies’ sensitive skincare routine that I totally swear by.
Given that I have two little ones who doesn’t enjoy shopping in store as much as I do, I took advantage of the convenience of online shopping. I’ve been shopping with iHerb for the past few years and it’s always been a great experience. I love that they have both loyalty and rewards program for their shoppers.
And though they offer flexible shipping options, I always opt in to their very affordable express shipping because I can’t wait to get my hands on the products that I ordered! I really love how they carefully packaged each item and how quick my orders arrived in just a few days.
Plus, what’s not to love when they can ship to over 160 countries and has an exceptional Customer Service team that provides support in 10 languages?!
Without further ado, here are my favorite bath and beauty products I recently ordered from iHerb for me and my kids’ sensitive skincare routine.
I love that this shampoo was specially made to gently condition baby’s delicate hair as it cleanses it at the same time. It makes my little ones’ hair soft and smooth, particularly my baby girl as she has a thick hair. This conditioning shampoo has a combination of natural wheat, oat, and vitamin E, which is a total life saver for my eczema prone and sensitive skin babies.
Shampooing has never been this fun because my babies always love it whenever I shape their hair into something while it’s all covered with shampoo. With Aveeno Baby Gentle Conditioning Shampoo being tear-free and allergy tested, they enjoy bath time even more.
I also love that it has a fresh, light fragrance that stays on my little kids hair which is so nice to smell.
I’ve been using Cetaphil Cleanser for years and I’m proud to be using it as part of my babies’ sensitive skincare routine. It is very gentle and is suitable for all skin types, but for someone who has sensitive and eczema prone skin like us, this product is a must!
It softens as it cleans the skin in a gentle way while helping it keep the needed moisture. I use it religiously to clean my babies’ face and body after shampooing.
I always love that this cleanser is easy to rinse and non-comedogenic. It comes very handy when travelling. But in my case, this cleanser is my savior when all I wanna do is dive myself to sleep after a very tiring day. I can easily clean up my face with it and wipe it away with facial tissue.
This lotion is an after-bath treat for my babies’ sensitive skin. It does its job well when it comes to moisturizing and soothing the skin, thanks that it has natural colloidal oatmeal in it. I love that it’s so gentle yet helps to protect my babies’ delicate and sensitive skin. I’m not actually a fan of scented products, but this lotion is one of the exceptions. It smells so relaxing and calming with the combined scents of lavender and vanilla.
I noticed that my babies are getting better sleep everytime I give them a massage with this lotion before bedtime. Well, that means better sleep and rest for me as a parent, too, so why not make it a habit, eh?
And I won’t deny that I’m also using this lotion for myself! I love its calming and relaxing scent on my skin. It leaves my skin feeling so soft, smooth, and healthy just like how it does on my little ones’ sensitive skin. It makes me smell and feel like I’m a baby, too and I can’t stop loving this lotion!
I honestly never heard of this product before until I searched up for products for eczema at iHerb. Impressed by its unique ingredients such as oatmeal, Ceramide-3 and Licochalcone which are known to give an intensive moisturizing to relieve dry, irritated skin due to eczema and upon reading lots of good reviews, I ordered this cream with little hope that it can help so much with our eczema.
Turns out that this product is what I’ve been looking for so long! We have tried different brands, but this Eucerin Baby Eczema Relief Body Creme works like a charm specially on my baby girl’s eczema which is a bit worse than us. It helps to give that almost instant relief on my kids’ eczema or dry skin, particularly during the night and helps me put them back to sleep with no more scratching.
What I also love about this product is that it is non-steroid, dye and fragrance free.
I’m all hands down on this product because it actually works without giving me any breakouts. I use it religiously twice a day and I always love how it gently sweeps away makeup, dull skin, and impurities. Because it has PhytoCellTec alpine rose stem cell, pomegranate, hyaluronic acid, and aloe vera, it is very uplifting and leaves my face and neck feeling moisturized. I also love that flawless and renewed feeling it gives me after washing my face.
Another thing that impressed me is that this cleansing foam works perfectly on my easily irritated, acne-prone, sensitive skin. I highly recommend this product if you are looking for a budget-friendly product that does its job as promised.
I use this product to exfoliate my skin every other day by massaging it all over my face in a gentle circular motion. It’s a bit grainy but doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. My skin feels so soft, looks brighter and younger, and well cleansed without becoming dry. I love that it does not irritate nor cause my skin to break out like the ones that I’ve tried in the past.
Despite the fact that it has a weird green-y color due to the sea kelp ingredients and has an earthy smell, this product is very good for the result it brings and for the price. I can say that I finally found the perfect facial scrub to exfoliate my face after so much trial and error.
For me, exfoliating my body is a must every other day. The Giovanni Hot Chocolate Sugar Scrub has become a favorite of mine for its lovely smell and how it makes my skin feeling so soft and renewed. As I scrub it on my body, it helps to gently slough off dead skin.
I added this body scrub to my bath essentials since it has been a great help to me during those times when I’m dealing with so much dead skin after pregnancy. Though my skin condition is back to normal now, this body scrub never fails to do its job. It actually helps to make me feel relaxed everytime I use it on my body. This body scrub is such a treat for me, and it’s perfect for what I call “me-time”.
I love how this body wash makes my skin feeling soft, renewed, and moisturized. It’s actually a combination of body wash and exfoliant which is why I like it so much. I also love that it does not irritate my sensitive skin and does not cause dryness. I can go on a day even without putting lotion on because fingers crossed, this body wash moisturizes my skin beautifully. My bath is not a bath without it!
I love this hand cream so much, it makes my hands look younger and moisturized. This product is perfect for someone with dry and sensitive skin like me. I always make sure to apply it on my hands anytime I feel like I need it, it absorbs quickly. So, if you’re looking for a great hand cream that is so nourishing and trusted by many, then the Madre Labs Argan Oil Hand Cream is a product you should try!
How about you, what’s your skincare routine like?

This post is sponsored by Gerber®, but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.
When I was a first-time mom and deciding what first solid food I should give my baby, I gave him Gerber cereals and never looked back. It’s always been the perfect choice for me. That’s why this second time around I never hesitated to also give it to my baby girl. As you know, I have been breastfeeding her since day one, but for the reason breast milk is naturally low in Iron, she needed it most in her diet. She needs food with a good source of Iron. Thanks goodness, Gerber Cereals provides 100% of baby’s daily iron needs. I’m so happy she loves it!
My baby is always excited about mealtime and her favorite food is Gerber Cereals! It was her first solid food way back months ago and she still loves it until now. Along with other essential nutrients, it has Iron in it which makes it a perfect first food for breastfed babies (like my little girl) to support their growth, brain development, and learning ability.
We started with single grain cereal because it’s ideal for baby’s first food to determine if there are food sensitivities. Her very first spoonful of cereal was Gerber DHA and Probiotic single grain cereal. DHA helps brain and eye development, while Probiotic Bifidus BL helps support digestive health when eaten on a regular basis.
I love that Gerber infant cereals offer a variety of flavors. I guess there’s always a Gerber Cereal for every baby’s tastebud. Oatmeal, rice, banana, etc. And did you know that picking up these goodness at Target is so easy? You can find them in the baby section, you just have to decide what flavor you’ll want to try with your baby.
I’m happy that my baby let me put her in the shopping cart for a second so I can snap a photo of her and her Gerber cereals that we picked up in store.
I’m alternatively feeding Riley different flavors of Gerber cereal now that she’s ten months old. I’m happy to see that she’s loving what I’m feeding her. Sometimes I mix breast milk with her Gerber cereal. She’s also okay whenever I just add water to it. She also loves it whenever I add fruit to her cereals.
She’s too cute every time she demands more spoonfuls of cereals, she has her way of asking for it and I just know what she wants.
With her growing and learning development, I’m happy to see that my little cutie pie can now sit confidently. I can feel that she’s going to take her magical first steps soon because she’s a healthy and strong baby! I’m excited about it!
Raising a healthy child requires the right nutrition in their diet. And in my case as a breastfeeding mom, Gerber Cereals help me support my baby’s growing and learning development. Now I don’t have to worry if my breastfed baby is getting enough iron because just two servings of Gerber Cereals can do the job.
So when you shop for your little one’s first food or cereals, be sure to always check the label. Check for the one’s that has essential nutrients such as Calcium, Zinc, Vitamin C, E and six B Vitamins. It’s a plus if it also has DHA and probiotic. And oh, it should be Iron-fortified too! Gerber Cereals has it all, I trusted this brand to help me provide the right nutrition for my two babies. I know it can help you and your baby, too!

As a mom, I juggle between family, blogging, and study. I just got lucky I don’t have to leave home to work and to do my studies, thanks to the internet my daily life is a little more convenient! Yet it can still be so draining.
I found myself in a situation where every day seems like I’m in a survivor game challenge. Though I know it’s nothing compare to those who have more kids than I do, it’s still a very challenging motherhood role.
While my eldest, Cody, is now 27 months old who is actually independent and can play by himself but, you know as the saying “terrible two” goes. He’s a sweet little boy. He has his moods and drives me crazy most of the time.
My baby girl just turned 7 months old, there’s a change in her sleep pattern lately which made me more sleep deprived and tired. If it was a trick, she had tricked me too many times these past few weeks. I used to think she’s going to have a long stretch sleep for the night like she used to but, then she will wake up while I’m about to start doing my lessons and course assignments or quizzes. I’d just sit her in my lap with my left arm around her, then my right will be busy doing what I have to do with my studies. There were also those times when she demands to be breastfed while I am working on my laptop. The next thing I know is that I am multitasking between being a breastfeeding mother and a working or studying mother.
She’s very curious about things around her. Her hands are trying to reach everything she can and can be so fidgety. She really knows how to distract me while I’m doing my lessons, LOL.
Parenting is a hard work. Really. It’s not easy, well, who said it is anyway? Having two kids may make some people think it gets easier this second time around but, frankly speaking, a part of me says it always feels like the first time. Yes, because every baby is an individual, too. Like us.
While raising kids under three can be tough, I have incorporated a few simple things in our daily lifestyle to make my parenting game with less things to worry about.
After a warm bath, turning off the lights in the bedroom and leaving just the dimmer lamp on helps me set up the mood for bedtime. Clearing up the toys in sight also helps to calm their “active mode” so “dream land” is not going to be a far place to go.
I learnt that singing a particular song helps to make my little boy go to the bathroom voluntarily once he saw I have his towel with me while singing “The ants go marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah~~” Then he will march with the song on our way to the bathroom. He knows it is time for a bath, and a time for some water fun. I know I’m also going to have a bath time song with my baby girl when she get a little older. It’s a no fuss bath time for us!
Probiotic is essential to my family’s daily life. I always make sure my little ones have their daily probiotic intake. Yes, even my baby girl, too! Thanks to Evivo, a baby probiotic my baby girl is having since she was just a few weeks old.
While every parent focus on the basics such as clothes, right gears, and gaining weight; we might overlooked about our baby’s gut health. I wished there’s Evivo when my little boy was just a baby so he can also have a strong foundation of a healthy gut. But since he is too old for it now, I’ll make sure that I’m doing better at this parenting game this second time about the importance of the baby’s gut health.
So I started giving my baby girl Evivo when she was a newborn because the first 6 months of baby’s life are crucial for the development of their metabolic and immune system. It is a once daily baby probiotic that helps good gut bacteria to thrive. Mixed with a few amount of breast milk, it helps to create a strong, protective wall that crowds out potentially bad bacteria linked to eczema, colic, allergies, diabetes, and obesity by 80%.
Healthy gut means a happy and healthy baby. And a happy mommy, too! Learn more about Evivo, you’ll be surprised!
